Who pays for hospice?
In most cases, if you receive Medicare, Medi-Cal, Veterans Administrative Benefits, or have any commercial insurance plan—you have hospice care coverage. These plans will provide hospice care for people with a life-limiting illness. For most patients, there is no direct cost to patients or their loved ones.
Even if you have no medical coverage but think you need hospice care, please call and let us know. The generosity of our donors allows Yolo Hospice to provide hospice care at a reduced rate or free of charge to those without the ability to pay.
Yolo Hospice is committed to serving all patients in need and has never refused a patient for inability to pay, including those without insurance coverage.
