The Sacramento Hospice Consortium is holding training in July for anyone wanting to become a hospice volunteer. Volunteering for Hospice can be a satisfying, inspiring experience. Volunteers offer dying patients companionship, and give families caregiver relief and light housekeeping. Complete the total 24 hours of training and become eligible to volunteer at Yolo Hospice, or six other hospices in the Sacramento region. Training will be offered July 21, 22, 28 and 29 in Davis.
To register for training, please go to www.sachospice.org. Training costs $40. For more information, call Carlye Wilder, Volunteer Coordinator at Yolo Hospice, at (530) 758-5566. Read more about being a volunteer with Yolo Hospice.
