Let’s Have Brunch and Talk About Death is an event that is intended to start the conversation around advance-care planning. Yolo Hospice, in partnership with the City of Roseville and Eskaton Live Well at Home, is hosting the meal to sit down and talk about death. Part of a national movement, the event will begin with two media pieces to add to the richness of the discussion. We’ll view a ‘TED Talk’ about how this movement began, and listen to an NPR interview with Dr. Atul Gawande, author of the book Being Mortal, which will be followed by a facilitated discussion with professionals in our community. The event will be held at the Maidu Center at Maidu Park. To RSVP, please call 530-601-5566; or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
