Yolo Hospice is a community-founded and community-grounded nonprofit with a nearly 40-year track record as experts in caring for people with life-limiting illness.
We were founded by volunteers who wanted to revolutionize healthcare for their community, and that spirit still drives us today.
We look for staff who are passionate about, and seasoned in, end-of-life care, with superb communication skills. The right fit is community-conscious, focused on quality healthcare management and eager for challenging career enrichment opportunities.
Many of our key quality indicators exceed state and national averages, including our Bereavement program, which consistently scores among the top in the nation. We are the only hospice in Sacramento that is a member of the National Partnership for Hospice Innovation, and one of only four organizations chosen to participate in Partnership HealthPlan of California’s Palliative Care Pilot Program. We have a Four Star Veterans Program in partnership with We Honor Veterans.
We are committed to quality and community service, and serve as a critical safety net for our community’s most vulnerable members.

Our Mission is to serve our communities, providing the highest level of care for every patient, every family, every time.
Our philosophy is to respect the dignity of the individual — including patients, their loved ones, and our employees. We recognize the contribution of every employee and the importance of their own success, the success of the hospice team, and most importantly, to our patients, their loved ones, and our communities. We work hard to set fair work expectations and to communicate them clearly. We want our employees to succeed while working in a healthy work environment.
