Support for Families of Yolo Hospice Patients
We offer bereavement support to the loved ones of Yolo Hospice patients for 13 months after a loss. We check-in with phone calls and offer mailings with resources. We also offer home visits and individual support sessions for adults and children with our Bereavement Specialists.
Community Support
Our bereavement services are available to the wider community as well, even if your loved one was not a Yolo Hospice patient. We offer up to four counseling sessions for anyone in need. Our adult and young adult support groups and Stepping Stones program for children are available to the community as well.
Barbara Frankel Memorial Library
Our library houses over 700 grief support titles in its collection, including books, periodicals, support pamphlets, CDs and DVDs. The extensive collection includes titles on coping with grief as well as dealing with illness, caregiving and self-care. The library is located in our offices, and is open to the community Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Books are available on loan for a three week period.
